Have you ever known something that occurred was a sign from God?

Perhaps an answer to a prayer which was answered by a sign or maybe a person’s words?

One might ask, then why does He not just speak to ME as many Christians say that He does with them?
 

Have you ever asked God to speak to you by way of the Holy Spirit?
 

The Bible is clear that our Lord DOES speak to man by way of the Holy Spirit ...
 

We read of the Apostles hearing His voice and it is clearly written that He WILL speak to us if we LISTEN:
 

 
But, then there is the faith factor ...
 

But, Faith is obviously NOT the interference since God DOES answer you in ways other than hearing His voice. This is an obvious sign that God is sending messages to you saying "I am here and answering you" …

Consider it like two telephones ... It could be said that God HEARD you on His end cuz we KNOW that your phone call DID reach GOD cuz He responded thru various methods. So, your SENDING is working and His RECEIVING is working.

This reveals one simple TRUTH ... If you do not hear God as the Bible says we will, the problem is definitely on your RECEIVING end.

But, the question still remains ... What is the communication barrier?

Most cannot HEAR for TWO reasons …

Many have constant negative thoughts which create emotions (Spiritual change) and this spiritual change is YOUR spirit responding to these negative thoughts. It can ONLY hear YOUR THOUGHTS which are usually confusion, fear, doubt, anger, pride, lust, jealousy, etc.

YOUR spirit is sooooooooooo busy hearing YOUR thoughts that YOUR spirit can NOT hear God's Spirit.

Sometimes we may be waiting for some kind of extraordinary phenomenon sort of response from the Lord, like the clouds parting and a message written across the heavens or an audible booming voice WHICH cannot be mistaken, and indeed at times He may speak in that manner ...
 

But, many times, it will be a still small Voice:

God uses your spirit to communicate BOTH ways with you.

Both to SEND messages and RECEIVE them.

The human spirit is a CANDLE for God to see our thoughts:
 

 
You see, God's Spirit communes with our spirit and emits our soul's condition to God:
 

 
So, HE hears your soul by way of your spirits emotional reactions ... And that is why He IS answering you by way of other methods to let you know that He IS there and DOES hear you.

The prob is that God is a Spirit and to HEAR Him we must be IN SPIRIT:
 

 
How do we know when we are IN SPIRIT?

By the FRUITS ... Here are the fruits of the Spirit:

So, we must reach that realm to be able to HEAR.

We must THINK ON THESE THINGS as to enter that realm:
 

 
These are not just pretty words ...

They are a RECIPE.

A PROCEDURE to renewing the mind from our worldly taught way of the past:
 

 
It is simple ... Ya think sad thoughts and you cry, you think happy thoughts and you laugh. Both the body and spirit obey the soul's thoughts. One must get a leash on their thoughts as to control spiritual change.
 

Happens all the time ya know …
 

You can be sad about something and a friend and/or someone God sent comes and shares positive thoughts (Plants thoughts in your mind) and IF you hear, your spirit changes. YOU chose to allow thoughts to change.
 

Failure to do so … Results in any negative thoughts you have keeping your spirit encaged in a spiritual prison.

TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE WARNING ON TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE CONCERN

Now … Make NO MISTAKE.

When we are downtrodden, God hears our soul by way of our spirit aching and the Holy Spirit relaying it to God as was shared before.

So, during these times God hears us, but we ... Can NOT hear HIM.

UNLESS WE CHANGE OUR THOUGHTS as to TUNE into the fruits of the Spirit.

Like ... RADIO WAVES, if you will.

Just like a radio tower, which emits waves to a radio ... ONLY if it is tuned in.

The music is STILL playing, even if the radio is not tuned in.

Yet another example would be when you are watching television and you are so captivated by it that you do not hear your child yelling at you two feet away.
 

In like manner, God IS trying to talk with you, but you are not tuned in.

But, what of the GOOD days?

You know, the days we have it going on? When we are happy go lucky.

How come we cannot hear Him then?

Many are unable to HEAR the Holy Spirit during the times they are "spirited" cuz they feel they have no need to call on God.

In TRUTH, they do not even think about Him cuz they are so caught up in their own selfish desires being met. Usually a woman, man, material gain or vanity is involved.

THIS ... is reason #1 why souls cannot HEAR the Holy Spirit.

Your thoughts are having your spirit emit messages to God … But, you can not HEAR Him cuz the same spirit (yours) is so busy responding to another phone call ... YOUR own thoughts.

 

Now, let us look at reason number two ... 

You claim you want to HEAR from the Holy Spirit, you know Jesus made it clear that He is our Comforter and you have the means to enhance your relationship with Him …
 

But, you share lil to no time talking with Him each day.

If this was human LOVE you had for another ... You would wanna spend every waking moment with the person.

THIS is the second hindrance to hearing the Holy Spirit ...

Kinda like when the moon asked the sun "why is it that I oft times sit in darkness " ...

The SON responded, "it is because you let the world come between us" ...

Oft times mankind allows something to come between them and God which puts them before Him in their mind and heart.

This is deemed as an IDOL and for good reason.

We would be IDOLIZING it rather than God.

I have found that we usually lose whatever it is when we do this and this causes even more negative thoughts which causes the spirit of man to grieve again and the vicious cycle never ends.
 

So, in order to break the cycle and to truly seek to become closer to the Holy Spirit …

Perhaps CHOOSE to establish or enhance your relationship with Him.
