It’s so nice to see you here because guess what! You’re about to learn some things that you will remember for the rest of your life. How do I know that? … Because the Bible says so. I'll show you!
 

This Proverb from the Bible says that if you teach a child how to be good, he won't forget it when he grows up. You'll be seeing a lot of boxes like this one, and inside is a verse from the Bible, but sometimes the words in the Bible can be hard to understand, so under the box, I'll explain what the verse means, and if you like, you can click on the verse and read the words right from the Bible on your computer. 

The Bible is full of God's messages to us. We call the Bible, God's Word, and it can be read by people until the end of time. It tells us all about the way that God wants us to live. The people that God gave His messages to, who shared them with us in the Bible, are called prophets. The verse you just read came from a king named Solomon. God gave Solomon the gift of wisdom and he was the wisest man that ever lived.

God made you a child of His, to help make the world a better place.

Did you know that God made you like a delicate little plant? You were given to your parents to care for you and help you to grow into what God has planned for you.

As you learn more and more about God, you will become like a strong healthy plant and what happens when a plant is nice and healthy? It makes fruit. You will be fruitful for God!

That doesn't mean that you will make apples or oranges or peaches ... the kind of fruit that you will make for God is a different kind ... a kind you can't even see!

The fruit that comes from the Holy Spirit of God are all the good things that you do. So that means every time you make a choice to do the right thing, you are helping the world become a better place and you are doing the job that God planned for you.

The person who wrote this verse was Moses. God told Moses to tell everyone that we should love God with all our heart, soul, and strength, and that people should teach their children all about God, and talk about Him every day, like when you're sitting in your house, and walking down the street and before you go to sleep, and when you wake up in the morning.

God wants everyone to grow into a good person and no matter how young or old you are, if you want to follow His plan, then you are ...

Did you know that God gives each and every one of us different GIFTS? I'm not talking about gifts like birthday presents, but the gifts that God gives us are things that He puts inside of us ... things that we use in our lifetime to glorify Him. We'll talk more about gifts in just a second, but first ...

Do you know what glorify means?

When you glorify God, it means that you are showing other people His greatness, and by doing that, you're also praising Him, honoring Him and worshipping Him.

Let me tell you more now about those gifts that God gives to people. You already learned about the gift of wisdom that God gave to Solomon. God gives some people the gift of teaching. Some people have the gift of healing. Some people are gifted with wonderful singing voices, and some are very good at playing music. There are so many different gifts that God gives to people and each person's gift is just as important as anyone else's.

Not only does God give you gifts so that you can glorify Him, but you may have noticed, that all the gifts that we just talked about are also used to help or share with God's other children too!

We are God's creation, and Jesus is part of us. We are made to do good deeds that God planned for us to do.

Sharing our gifts with one another, and helping each other, makes us all one family ... all God's children. Just as in any family, in our Christian family, we all love and need and help one another with the gifts that God our Father gave us.

You have gifts that God has put inside of you, and in this program, you will learn some things that will help you to use the gifts that God has given you so that you can give Him the most glory that you can. 

Just so you understand what I mean, let me explain. Before a person can become a veterinarian (pet doctor), they would first have to go to college and learn all about animals and their bones and hair and skin and blood and stuff like that, right? But before they can go to college, they would first have to learn to read and write and do math.

So, in the same way, in order to share your gifts from God with the world, there are some things that you'll want to know about first ... like faith, and forgiveness and prayer, and lots of other things too. Those are the kind of things you'll be learning about in this program.

It's going to be really fun!

The Child of God program will take you one week to finish. That may sound like a long time at first, but before you know it, you'll be all done, and you'll wish that there was still more to go! Every day there will be a new Step to take and it's very important that you only do only one Step each day, because sometimes if you put too much into your brain at one time, you end up forgetting some of it, because it's just too much to remember all at once.

The first thing you'll be doing, is taking a little test. This isn't like a school test, because whatever your score is, it's just between you and God. There are 50 multiple choice questions, and the most important thing about taking this test is that you be honest. There aren't right and wrong answers, but instead, there are answers that are true or answers that are not true. Don't forget that God knows what the TRUTH is so if you put down an answer that's not true, He already knows, and you're only cheating yourself, so give the real TRUTH of what you would really do, or how you really feel when you answer each question.

If you change your mind about an answer before you're finished or you click an answer that you didn't mean to by mistake, just click the answer you really want and it will change to your new answer.
